Tutorial: Mapping with Sketchup+Uvtools+RoadKill

I try to explain in easy way:

First download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] from Sketchucation. Also download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The second file with some antivirus detect a malicius file, but I downloaded and donĀ“t have any problem.

Ok, when mapping an irregular surface most of the times, the results is not what expecting.

Select the surface to mapping

In the menu->Plugins->UVTools->Export UVs to OBJ

Very important, look where the file is saving

Open Roadkill and load the file

In RoadKIll:
ALT+Click Izq= Rotate
ALT+Click Medio=Pan
ALT+Click Derecho= Zoom

Click letter "E" to selection mode

Whit a crossing window select the surface

With the selection click letter "W" to join all surfaces

Save (in RoadKill) with same name and place, back to Sketchup. In Sketchup go to menu->Plugisn->UVTools->Import UVs from OBJ

Importing UV and we have the irregular surface mapping correctly

Excellent Tutorial thanks for sharing. can i also share this in my blog. Btw. the new SketchUV of Whaat same writer is cool..
