Water reflection tutorial

This is a tutorial at a Vietnamese Forum SUVN...by toan thang


Let's start!

Here is the original SU image output open it in Photoshop

Double click the Layer background to make it Layer 0,

Step 2: Use polyugonal lasso Tool (L) selet the water area. Save selection in the new layer and name as "water"

Step 4: While the water layer is selected, go to Edit and Free transform Ctrl+T (lock the Width and the Height). Scale layer up to 400%

Step 5: Go to Filter/ Distort/ Displace. IN the displace parameter, use the parameters in the below image. Click ok to save file. Choose PSD for this "map water".

Step 6. After opening the PSD file, the water will look like this. Again go to Edit/transform (locking the W and the H) this time decrease to 25%x25%

Step 7: Load selection and load the previously saved selection "water". Select inverse to reverse selection and delete.
